Mark Smith is an Old Catholic Priest, ordained in 2003 after serving over 20 years as a Deacon. Rev. Smith serves with St. Fechins's Old Catholic Church and as a frequent guest preacher at St. Bede's Anglican Church. Peace and harmony in faith communities is extremely important, but is often lost. We are taught in 1 Corinthians 6:1 that we are to seek to resolve our disputes within the church, rather than go before the courts. Rev. Smith offers his combined expertise in dispute resolution and life within a congregation to assist faith groups in resolving their differences in a manner that will allow the community to go forward together. Whether divided by doctrine, organization or staffing disputes, contention within the community keeps the community from doing its far more important work. Isn't it time to reach out for help from someone with the skills to resolve the dispute and the love for you and your community to do whatever it takes to bring the people back together again? Fees for congregational mediation are greatly reduced, as a service to the faith community. |
